How is confidentiality handled?
Maintaining confidentiality in therapy is paramount, and strict professional standards are upheld to safeguard clients’ privacy. Information shared during therapy sessions is strictly confidential, except in rare circumstances where there is a legal or ethical obligation to disclose information for the safety of the client or others.
How often do I need to come in? For how long?
The frequency of therapy sessions can vary based on individual needs and goals, typically ranging from weekly to biweekly sessions.
The duration of therapy varies depending on the individual’s needs and progress, ranging from a few months to several years, with regular assessments to determine ongoing treatment goals and outcomes.
When are you available?
I am available for in-person or Zoom sessions Monday to Friday, with evening availability after 5 PM. On weekends, I offer limited morning and early afternoon sessions. Please check for current openings, as my schedule may change.
Is there a cancellation policy?
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that necessitate the cancellation or rescheduling of appointments. To ensure the smooth operation of our services and accommodate the needs of all our clients, we have established the following appointment cancellation policy:
1. Notice Requirement: Clients are kindly requested to provide at least 24 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling requests.
2. Cancellation Procedure: To cancel or reschedule an appointment, clients can contact our office directly by phone or email during business hours (9am-5pm). Voicemail messages and emails received after hours (5pm) will be processed the next business day.
3. Late Cancellations or No-Shows: Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed without prior notification will be subject to a cancellation fee.
4. Cancellation Fee: Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed without prior notification will result in a cancellation fee equivalent to the full cost of the scheduled session. This fee helps compensate the therapist for the reserved time and ensures availability for other clients.
5. Exceptions: We understand that emergencies and unexpected situations can occur. If you have extenuating circumstances that prevent you from providing 24 hours’ notice, please contact our office to discuss your situation.
6. Rescheduling: Clients are encouraged to reschedule cancelled appointments promptly to secure a new time slot that accommodates their needs.
